Much misinformation is being disseminated in this broadcast. Anyone following IDSA and CDC guidelines is at risk for serious longterm illness. Tick bites are not the only way Lyme and co-infections are transmitted. Ticks can transmit the diseases much earlier than “36 hours” of attachment. The CDC protocols prevent victims from getting accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. ILADS has done far more research with larger sample populations. The Elisa test is pretty useless and more bands on the Western Blot test need to be considered when diagnosing, though neither test is adequate. Antibiotics are only effective for Lyme diseases if given ASAP and for more than just a couple of weeks. Dr. Brian Fallon at Columbia University is the foremost expert in current Lyme research and in conducting clinical trials of Lyme and other vector borne diseases. I have been using a number of alternative treatments including Rife therapy when my Lyme is out of remission to deal with the symptoms. Contrary to the biased CDC disinformation, Lyme is easy to get and difficult to treat. The damage it does is devastating! 😱

My friend had, what I thought was a schizophrenic meltdown after refusing anti-psychotic medication. Her episode lasted for days of not eating, experiencing hallucinations & anxiety attacks. Told them I would be fine on a low dose of lorazepam. They said leave if you do not like it. Anyway, a few years later I was titrated off the last dose when the class actions suits were going on because the Dr. Wayne Warnken of CHC in Burlington, told them it was causing diabetes. Not did he not refuse to put it in writing for the suit but he and the ghouls portrayed me as paranoid schitzphrenic when I was puking blood and lost eighty pounds in two months. My lower GI became like a popped pinata. Still it is like they are looking at me thru knights helmets here at hospital in Burlington because they deny malpractice. Severe heart, intestine, and eye damage. No pills now, just smoke weed and I can sing great again. On that garbage I was more flat than the popes view of the Earth in the tenth century. Total garbage

Hi. Can I suggest a useful test for initial testing first session, that can be set up, would be for just a few genes that are of most concern with overwhelming correlation to severe interfering effects, limiting concerns about most genes. For instance, there are many many genes related to methylation (around 50 from last I heard) but from my limited knowledge, one one that is guaranteed severity in MTHFR, and the other MTHFR gene only of high significance if both sides are blocked. Then there is the blockage of remethylation if B12 to its active form, which, if on both sides has serious implications and affects, including in liver function dealing with chemical processing (say prescribed drugs) benzene based chemicals which are a lot more poisonous to such a person, which all produced cascading effects that can affect the mind. Then there are less important, but significant things, such as the so called worrier/warrior gene, which is one form makes one resistant to the placebo effect and I think hypnosis, and on the other side, the reverse. Which may make practitioners confused if the person is unaffected by imaginary concern, but has genuine issues (such as with strong methylation action genes, which lead to immunity problems, producing unusual infections, rate of infections, apart from other health issues). If the person is warrior version them it indicates less degree of concern about their concerns then if the gene is purely worrier type. Many correlations are statistical association, and with no guarantee of dysfunction, so are not of priority. However, I caution, that combinations or genes (dysfunction) and factors could have a high correlation with various individual issues. So. When the research into, and data on, these sets become available in future testing on such sets will be very useful. This is not to abandon lab work, and in consultation assessment, but to incorporate into initial testing those gene sets of guaranteed most concern. All these tests, would be also useful at the general practitioner level, to early spot issue that have high correlation, which can make significant advances in quality of life and income, and life expectancy, for individuals affected.

I appreciate you trying to get the word out to psychiatrists, as every single one of mine missed the Lyme I've had since childhood, but please do not use the ISDA as a source. Use ILADS if you want to help your patients. A 30-year infection is not going to be cured by a few weeks of antibiotics, and the serology testing is something like 50% false negatives. Patients suspected of having Lyme should see a Lyme Literate doctor, not a regular internist or family doctor. Also, coinfections with Lyme are extremely common, particularly Bartonella and Babesia, which need testing and treatment as well.

Classic bulls eye rash, 57 years ago, I was gravely sick for two weeks and the drs at that time had NO IDEA what Lyme disease was?????? I almost died, I was given antibiotics and prayers. I have never been "normal", now at 58 years old I am suffering with pre Alzheimer's like symptoms. It has been one of the worst times in my life. I'm sure this doctor means well but so much of his information is incorrect and or outdated and I am speaking from decades of experience in the field both medically and as a patient. There are many types of Bartonella and Bartonella is one of the primary reasons for neuropsychiatric symptoms. It is also not necessary to have a bullseye rash and there are many types of rashes - also many people do not even know they were bitten by a tick. There are so many misleading statements that I cannot go into them all and I do not mean to be critical but if people just go by what was presented in this lecture they're going to be misled. I highly suggest further research by going to clips from Dr Richard Horowitz, Dr Neil Spector, or Dr Joseph Burrascano, or even the most recent clips from John Hopkins for reliable information. IDSA guidelines are very different than ILADS.

As am I. My Lyme literate physician has dealt with Lyme himself and coinfections. I was not given a test for almost 3 yrs. BECAUSE I did not know that I got bit and I never had a bulls eye rash. My pcp at that time (15 yrs ago) said,"Then you do not have Lyme disease". I had gone to him several times es in that 3 yrs telling him something was wrong. I felt funny, foggy brain, confusion and an occasional little stumble here and there. He did all blood tests and everything and nothing wrong. Until I got extremely fatigued, exhausted and then bedridden for a few weeks. I could hardly move. Everything hurt. My head felt l8ke a bowling ball, stiff neck, legs of concrete. I thought I might die...and I didn't care. That's how bad I was. I cried every morning in pain. Like a truck ran over my ribs every night. I did slowly get well enough to now get a blood test. Could hardly make it. Shaky legs. My Western Blot was extreme! All that wasted time. Because my pcp was not educated about Lyme. I did change pcp's. Took awhile to find a Lyme literate physician also of course he was a medical doctor as well. He had Lyme, he knew what we felt like. He helped me, it took several yrs, he diagnosed me with two other coinfections. Just by touch. He treated me for those as well. The truth is...no one knows what it feels like until they get it. It has helped to watch what I eat. Sugar and yeast feed the spirochete.
